Eligibility for enrolment
Bangladeshi or Foreign Nationals having at least a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Psychiatry, Education. Statistics. Sociology, Criminology, Social Work, Political Science, Anthropology. Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Information Science and Library Management, Economics, Health Economics, Child Development, Communication Disorders, International Relations, Food, and Nutrition Science, Management, Marketing, Environmental Sciences (e.g., Geography, Geology, Disaster), etc. However, a basic understanding of psychometry is a vital prerequisite for Level B: Advanced Psychometrics course
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand measurement models (Congeneric, Tau-Equivalent, Essentially Tau Equivalent and Parallel) in detail fashion
- Apply different measurement models in estimating reliability
- Use Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT) approaches to item analysis.
- Use exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis techniques in construct validation
- Apply CTT and IRT approaches to test Differential Item Functioning (DIF), Item Impact, Item Bias, etc.
- Apply IRT Approaches in Test Equating and Linking
- Construct and Adapt Psychometric Tools to use in various settings, e.g. Clinical, Educational, HRM, etc.
